Good Idea Site for Interior Finishes

Good interior finish ideas for UR new home or remodel on Modenus design pages. #p #in Article, link at:

Last Update: 2011-06-12 08:56:57

Sample page from the catalog at Modenus interior design site. Example at http://bit.ly/jUQ1qo. Sleek, sexy stuff here. I haven't checked but probably u can source this stuff of similar for less outside their network. Great for ideas though.

How can interior cool design relate to sustainability and balance? Cool kitchens promote eating in, home cooking with probably better, fresher ingredients, right size portions -- less trips out. New appliances and lighting save energy and in the case of high efficiency washers, pollute less. Interesting living spaces and outdoor living spaces, green roofs and the like create spaces to live and play at home, reducing trips. Great interiors can and outdoor living spaces can overcome sketchy transitional neighborhood factors, promoting redevelopment of existing neighborhoods. Just a quick list.

If not in the Modenus site, want to promote a couple ideas: terazzo -- a great way to incorporate material recycling into your project in an artful way; stained concrete -- get more from less, a durable, clean surface without the cost and embedded energy of secondary floor covering; radiant floor heat -- not so big a deal here in Texas, but an high comfort energy efficient heating system.

For more ideas and help incorporating balance and sustainability, LEED certification into UR next project, contact me.
